On September 8, 2022, Inez Campos- Chavez passed away peacefully in her sleep at 85 after a long journey with a chronic illness at Haven home health. Inez was a mother, a grandmother, a great-grandmother, a great-great-grandmother, a sister, a friend, and a loving wife.\n\t Inez Campos-Chavez was born on January 21, 1937, in San Jose, Arizona. She often spoke about how she was born next to the river. She reminisced about her childhood with her parents and siblings. She married Narciso Chavez in 1986 and was married for 36 years. \n It would be hard to say that Nana lost her battle because she never stopped fighting. She lived many years with her husband and loved him more than he would imagine. Nana stayed vital for those who loved her no matter how sick she was. She sought forgiveness and peace in her last days and told those she loved dearly. Though she's no longer on this earth, she remains with us through the journey of life by our side. Her family grieves for her loss but takes comfort in knowing she's no longer in pain. Nana will be dearly missed and loved.\n\tThe funeral service will be held on Wednesday, September 21, 2022, beginning at 10:00 am at McDougal's Caldwell Funeral Chapel, followed by the burial at Safford Cemetery.
